From time to time we are sent recommendations from the readers on local businesses that we should cover in the newsletter.  This is one of those times.  These recommendations are welcomed as it builds the bond of "Local Community"  and that is what Macaroni KID Winston-Salem is all about.

It email begins; "If you have not been to The Purple Bench yet, you have to call and reserve time now.  We took the kiddos for a Wacky Wednesday drop-in class and had the best time ever.  It was so much fun watching the kids create their own masterpieces.  So much so that Langston and I had to sit down and create our own.  The Purple Bench had several options available to the kids and the instructor was a natural at working with the kids at different stages of their project.  The studio is tucked back a little off Bethania Station Rd. so it is easy to miss, but what a great area they have there.  There is a sitting area outside with a fire pit and lots of beautiful flowers, and they even provided beverages and snacks.  We will be attending these mini-classes on a more consistent basis now that we know they are available.  Thank you to The Purple Bench and its entire staff for giving the children a creative outlet to explore!  Sincerely, Cason S."

The Purple Bench is located at 3784 Bethania Station Road near Bethabara Park.  The hours currently are by appointment only but will have a more set schedule in the next few weeks.  The studio is attached to The Closet Consignment Store at the very back of the building.  They offer a variety of classes teaching paint pouring, alcohol ink techniques, kids' open forum, mixed media, Paint and Sip parties and so much more.  They do private parties such as birthdays and bridal and they host local vendors to help get recognition.
