Looking for cheap summer fun in Winston-Salem? Check out our 8 ideas for completely FREE summer fun in Winston-Salem, NC:
1. Visit a playground in Winston-Salem
Dinosaur Playground Washington Park is a top pick for us. They have a picnic area that is perfect for family time and that also allows us to keep an eye on the kiddos as they play. Bring your bug spray though, those little pests are all over.

With almost 4 miles of trails making up the greenway. This is a great place to walk, run, ride a bike and yes we've even let the minis splash around in the water.

On Sunday, July 17 from 3 pm to 6 pm, The Shalom Project will be hosting The Big Chill 2022, their annual fundraiser, their fundraisers sit on ice and make calls to raise money. Food, fun, and entertainment for the entire family!

4. Go to the Forsyth County library!
We normally visit the Central Library, but there are 9 branches so anyone is able to visit no matter where you're located. They have a great selection of materials for the little ones as well as special activities almost every day of the week. If you're hungry they even have a little cafe where you can get drinks and sandwiches.
5. Take in Artivity on the Green
Everything about Artivity on the Green is amazing. The murals, the misting towers, and just the overall vibe is great for everyone young and old!

6. Take a bike ride in Winston-Salem
If you are looking for a great place to ride with the littles one of our faves is Bethabara Park Trail Access
7. Get wet at Hathaway Park
We think this is the best splash pad in the area. The playground and splash pad is in the same area making it easy to keep an eye on the kiddos and their safety. Fido is even allowed to come on the trip so it is truly a family destination.
