Need to cool off on a hot day in Winston-Salem? Here's where to go!

Kids want to cool off, but are not sure where to go in Winston-Salem? Here are our go-to picks when it comes to splash pads and pools in the Winston-Salem area to take kids on these hot summer days.

We advise always checking with the venue when possible before heading out as hours and availability can change due to any number of factors, ranging from weather to staffing issues.

Bolton Pool & Sprayground

Hathaway Park Sprayground

Happy Hill Splash Pad

 This one is a relatively new splash pad.  It is close to Old Salem and has access to the Greenway. 


Kimberley Park Pool & Sprayground

This is one of our favorites!  From the water dumping buckets to the picnic shelter, grills, and walking trails, it truly has much to offer the family that has kiddos with various interests.


Little Creek Park Sprayground

The fact that this is one of Winston-Salem’s hidden treasures needs to be noted.  This park can be found tucked into a nice little neighborhood.  It is a clean area, and the kids love it!


Long Creek Pool

Long Creek Pool serves the neighborhoods in the Bethania, Shattalon, and Old Town areas and has diving boards. Like all city pools, Long Creek Pool offers free swim lessons. Open for the 2023 season.

Includes a winding tubing river, two slides, a splash pad, lots of deck space, a children’s pool area with a tumble bucket, raindrop, starburst, and lemon drops, and a lap pool area with two diving boards and two water slides. Despite tables inside – meals are not allowed, only snacks.
