Meet the Merchant Winson-Salem!

Get to know more about the Winston-Salem businesses you love and the people that own them!

By Jeffrey Willey Publisher Macaroni KID, Winston-Salem, NC August 4, 2022

We all have that favorite shop we must go to regularly or that one oil change place we will only take our car to.  The list goes on and on.  At Macaroni KID Winston-Salem we are launching our Meet the Merchant series to highlight said favorites weekly.  Each week we will shine the spotlight on a local Winston-Salem business from gift shops to restaurants to flower shops to Tire stores that our readers send in as a nomination.  So, if there is a local business you would like to have in our Winston-Salem Meet the Merchant series, subscribe and nominate.  It is that easy!

The Merchant of the Week is.....

Chameleon Kids Consignment

Chameleon Kids Consignment is our very first business to be highlighted in our Meet the Merchant series.  As a new publisher in an underdeveloped territory, connecting has been a challenge.  I reached out to Claire Wait for assistance and without hesitation, she offered her hand of help.  I knew at that very moment this would be the beginning of a great friendship.

The store, located conveniently on the line between Winston-Salem and Clemmons, at 3422 Kinnamon Village Cms has been open a little over two years.  Chameleon Kids Consignment features gently used clothing and shoes (NB - size 12), maternity, toys, furniture, and baby gear.  Store hours are Tuesday - Saturday 10 am -5 pm, closed Sunday and Monday.   Claire noted, "our store has a reputation for high-quality items with price points for every budget."  Something I feel bears mentioning is their "absolutely you may play" policy.  We all know that dreaded moment when the troops are getting restless, we are trying to handle business and keep our composure and the kiddos are running wild.  Let them play?    Well, the team at Chameleon Kids Consignment says YES and just pulled out the winning Ace with this store policy.

Claire also mentioned that their customers love seeing what is new, and what is on sale.  No one misses a chance to check out our $2 discount wall. If you are looking to consign, Claire and her team have made it seamless for you.  You can simply go to their website, chameleonkidsconsignment.com, and click the Consign with Us button which allows you to make an appointment right then and there.  How much easier can that be? On that same page, they have conveniently listed what they do and do not take, what sells best and what is considered in season.

Congratulations to Claire and the entire team at Chameleon Kids Consignment for being Macaroni KID Winston-Salem's very first Meet the Merchant business highlighted.  Also, a very heartfelt thank you for opening a few doors for our team.  Now I challenge you, our readers, to pay a visit to Chameleon Kids Consignment Store and find your hidden treasure.  Be sure to also visit the store online or follow them on Facebook/Instagram to get up-to-the-minute info on what is going on in the store.
