Celebrate this delicious ring of doughy goodness with a trip to Einstein Bros. Bagels. Get it slathered with cream cheese or try a Cheesy Hash Brown Gourmet Bagel there. And don't forget to "toast" to the great bagel! Dec. 11

3. Cupcake Day
Our favorite place for cupcakes in Winston-Salem? Ta'Nisha Monique Cupcakes! Have you tried them there? If not, today's the perfect day to stop for a Pink Lemonade cupcake. Dec. 15

4. Maple Syrup Day
I mean, did you need an excuse to take the kids out for pancakes? If so, this is it! What are our favorite breakfast spots for pancakes in Winston-Salem? Mama Zoe's and the good ol' standby IHOP. Once you're there? Enjoy those pancakes drenched in maple syrup. Dec. 17

5. Hamburger Day
Is there anything better than a Bootlegger's Bourbon Burger at Cin Cin Burger Bar? We certainly don't think so! National Hamburger Day is the perfect excuse to take off from a night of cooking and treat the family to dinner out at Cin Cin Burger Bar in Winston-Salem. Yum. Never mind that there seem to be a few Hamburger Days throughout the year ... we choose to celebrate them all! Dec. 21
