Ok, so there really isn't an invasion. I am talking about The Super Mario Bros. movie. A surefire hit with the young and "a little bit old" OK, a much older crowd as well. Many of us grew up in the Nintendo era, where we were all looking for the green mushroom to add a life, or a star so that we could run right through any bad guy for about 15 seconds. My favorite, was the flower, so I could shoot unlimited fireballs at anything in my way.
Well, it's back, and Marketplace Cinema on Peters Creek Parkway has the motherload of showtimes so we all can enjoy it. We love this theater for its comfortable seating, snack bar, and online ticket booking options through Fandango. Online booking saves so much time with our busy lifestyle. They have awesome deals at their concession stand that you can actually afford. The staff at the Marketplace Cinema is super friendly, even though they appear to wear several hats. The kids had a blast. in fact, this was Bowie's first in theater experience.
If you like family time and movies, I strongly urge you to take a peek at the Now Showing movies, get the family loaded into the car, and take some time to enjoy yourselves. You'll be happy you did!
