Feeding Winston-Salem

Greater Faith Ministries Steps Up to the Plate

By Jeffrey Willey, publisher of Macaroni KID Winston-Salem, NC May 11, 2023

Recognizing people's struggle to keep food on the table, Pastor Tyree and the First Lady knew they needed help and sprung into action.  The couple wanted to do their part to help their congregation and the Winston-Salem area as a whole.  Under the direction of Bishop Todd Fulton of Mt. Moriah Outreach Center, they have set forth to build a pantry of their own.

On the third Saturday of each month, Greater Faith of Winston will open their food pantry in hopes of making a small but mighty dent in the crisis that plagues many families daily. This is not a job that they can do alone, so we look to you to play a crucial role in the pantry's development.  Donations of non-perishable food items are needed and can be dropped off at Greater Faith Ministries located at 3780 Bethania Station Rd. in Winston-Salem.  If you are unsure of what to donate, we have provided the list below:

  • Powdered milk
  • Bottled water
  • Canned soups
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned tuna
  • Canned tomatoes
  • Dried fruits
  • Granola bars
  • Cereal
  • Nuts
  • Crackers
  • Peanut butter
  • Jellies and jams
  • Honey
  • Pancake mix
  • Syrup
  • Vegetable oil
  • Rice
  • Dried beans
  • Dried pasta
  • Noodles
  • Oats
  • Trail mix
  • Beef Jerky

You can also make monetary donations, as it does take more than just food to keep the pantry running and successful.  All donations made are tax-deductible, so it's a winning combination for the donor.  To find out how you can do your part to assist please feel free to email Pastor Tyree or First Lady Tyree by clicking here.
