Show Love in Our Community

By Jeffrey Willey Macaroni KID Winston-Salem Publisher January 30, 2025

February is a time of love, connection, and kindness—and what better way to spread that spirit than by giving back to our community? The Village of Clemmons is excited to announce the launch of our month-long "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" campaign, which is dedicated to supporting the Clemmons Food Pantry. This February, we invite you to join us in showing love and making a tangible difference for families in need right here in our backyard.

What is Neighbors Helping Neighbors?

The "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" campaign is a community-driven effort aimed at educating residents about the needs of our local food pantry while collecting food donations to help fill its shelves. This campaign isn't just about collecting items; it's about fostering a spirit of community, solidarity, and kindness, ensuring that no one in Clemmons goes without access to essential food.

Throughout February, individuals, businesses, and organizations will have the opportunity to participate in various ways. Whether you can contribute food, host a collection event, or simply raise awareness, every effort makes an impact. Together, we can ensure that our most vulnerable neighbors are well-supported during this time of need.

How You Can Get Involved

We are encouraging everyone in the community to take part in this meaningful campaign. Here are a few ways you can help:

  1. Donate Non-Perishable Food
The simplest and most direct way to support the Clemmons Food Pantry is by donating non-perishable food items. Drop them off at designated collection locations throughout the Village of Clemmons. Items like canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, and peanut butter are always in high demand.
  2. Host a Coin Collection Jar or Food Donation Box
Whether you're a business owner, a member of a local organization, or just looking to contribute from home, setting up a coin collection jar or food donation box is a great way to encourage others to give. Place the jar or box in a high-traffic area and watch the donations roll in!
  3. Share the Online Donation Link
Not everyone can contribute food physically, but anyone can contribute online. Display the Clemmons Food Pantry’s online donation link at your business, organization, or on your social media platforms. Every dollar raised helps the pantry purchase the food and supplies it needs to continue serving those in our community.
  4. Host Your Own Event
Looking to get creative? You can host your own event to raise awareness and gather donations for the pantry. Whether it's a bake sale, a community walk, or a virtual fundraiser, your unique event can help amplify the campaign’s efforts and bring more attention to this important cause.

Why the Clemmons Food Pantry Needs Us

The Clemmons Food Pantry is a vital resource for individuals and families who are struggling with food insecurity. With rising costs and economic challenges, the need for food assistance in our community is greater than ever. By donating to the pantry, we can help alleviate some of the burden for those who are experiencing hardship, ensuring that they have access to nutritious food during difficult times.

Let’s Make February a Month of Giving

At its core, "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" is about fostering connections within our community. It’s a reminder that we are all in this together and that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a profound impact. Whether you’re donating a can of soup or organizing a large-scale collection event, your contribution matters.

This February, let’s come together to show love for our neighbors, our friends, and our community. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most.
