Relish, fondness, craving, addiction weakness, whatever it is that you call it... it all comes to feeding that sweet tooth. As you play the list through your mind while reading here, maybe map out a visit to one of these reader favorite local Winston-Salem businesses known for their sweet treasures. For now, I will call it my Sweet Tooth Tour of Winston-Salem.
First let me start off by saying it is unfair to have to choose just one dessert from Mama Zoe Michael's menu so I won't. There are so many wonderful handmade family recipe sweets listed but for me it comes down to the Swiss Chocolate Cake and Dad's Baklava. You cannot go wrong with either one of these fine dessert but I warn you... the baklava tastes like it came directly from Yiayia's kitchen. So amazing!
Hands down, for me, it is the variety of cake squares that they have available at all times. I can spend hours inside tasting, sampling and yes eventually buying CAKES. Don't even get me started on the Moravian Cookie Thins.
Being a Winston-Salem based business it is not hard to also be a favorite when it comes to sweets. A Lemonade Chiller and Chocolate frosted Vanilla Cream Filled Donut is what is on deck for me when I visit my favorite location on University Parkway., Winston-Salem.
The Sweet Truth Bakery and Catering
We were invited to a birthday party recently and this is where my introduction to The Sweet Truth Bakery came to happen. The cake.... Pink Lemonade and it was DIVINE. Baker Faith Mcknight is truly a master of her craft. Click on the business name and check out the other items she has up her sleeve. Well done!
I am seeing a pattern here as I am writing this article and that is my love for lemonade and let tell you... Bee takes you there with her Mermaid Lemonade and YES it actually does have edible glitter mixed in with the Hibiscus Tea and Lemons. You have to try the Macarons the kids will love them. I urge you to reach out early if you're planning to showcase Bee's sweetness at your next event because it appears she booked all through April at this point!

With two locations, Winston-Salem and Lewisville they have got you covered. All you ever needed you can find at Baked Just So in just 2 items ... Ice Cream and Cookies. Put these two together and you have the BEST gourmet ice cream sandwich I have ever tasted. My favorite? Peanut Butter Cookie and Chocolate Ice Cream for the win!
I could go on for days about the wonderful sweets that we have available right here in Winston-Salem.
